This series of photos shows the "self cleaning" characteristic of the Foxtail Palm

	Notice the dead frond on the right side of the tree. This frond has no green on it.
	Here we see a closer view of the dead frond.
	Now the landscaper starts to pull the frond. Notice he is not using a chainsaw!
	Pulling a little harder.......
	You can start to see the crownshaft.
	Pulling a little more, still no chainsaw.
	A closer view of the crownshaft.
	Almost gone!
	The dead frond has been removed with minimal effort and without any type of cutting tool. What's left is a nice smooth, clean crownshaft.
